Obama and Hillary give “Thumbs up” to Same-sex Marriage Book
Candidates Split on Pro-Gay Book for 2nd Graders By Pete Winn CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer November 29, 2007

(CNSNews.com) - Presidential candidates are split on whether a controversial children’s book that promotes or endorses same-sex marriage should be read to second graders.
Republican hopefuls Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney don’t think the book, entitled “King and King,” should be read to children, but Democrats John Edwards, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton give it a qualified “thumbs up.”
The book is a story for young children about a prince who, instead of marrying a princess, decides to marry her brother instead. Cybercast News Service posed a question to all the major presidential candidates: “Should teachers read the book to second graders as part of the school curriculum? Would you read it — or have read it — to your own children?”
“The answer is no,” Thompson’s chief campaign spokesman told Cybercast News Service. “He’s very clear. There is no wishy-washiness.”… continued at

A prince who marrys HER BROTHER!?!?… Homosexual AND incestuous!?
Why not completely ignore any boundaries of Mother Nature and civilization at all??
The prince could marry her mother.
The prince could marry her favorite pony.
The princess could marry his sheep named Barack.
AND why bother having a princess kiss the frog and change into anything…he can just stay a damn frog!
You could have Queen George marry Princess Phil!…as there is no more reason to exclude pedophiles when you’ve thrown the book out the window!
If any of this was confusing for you what do you think your second grader would make of it?? How could they possibly process this nonsense?
The people who wrote this drivel as well as ANYONE who even remotely suggests this is anywhere near sane, reasonable or acceptable should be locked up in an asylum AFTER being charged with felony child abuse.
AND that’s far too good a fate for them.
McCain Streaking Conservatism?
April 15, 2008
Are You Sitting Down?
The same man who drew up the Shamnesty bill behind closed doors, the same man who thinks the Second Amendment doesn’t mean what it says, the same man who STILL believes the incumbent protection attachment he sponsored with the soft money limitation bill ( McCain-Feingold ) doesn’t adversely affect our First Amendment speech 60 days prior to an election, the same man who wants to close Gitmo giving terrorists the same rights that citizens have ( All right, I could keep going on like this for quite awhile but, you get the idea. ) has actually adopted Fred Thompson’s optional “Flat” tax plan!
No, I didn’t dare hope he had that much common sense either, I just kept the thought tucked away in the pin-head-sized liberal area of my brain that I never use anyway.
When Fred Thompson offered his optional Flat tax plan ( when page opens click on the words ‘Fair vs. Flat’ and video clip will start ) the main stream media hardly breathed a word of it as they fearfully knew conservative policies that work would certainly unite the entire republican base…well, their tactics of spin and nonreporting worked but, his principles, values, plans and policies could very well live on if this streak of conservatism lasts a little while longer in McCain to get out of this huge mess we’re in.
Of course, lets hope McCain isn’t merely streaking us a flash of conservatism to get us to watch him just long enough to take the oath.
A Social Conservative Has A ‘Come To Jesus’ Chat

Advice for John McCain
If Arizona Senator John McCain wants to win the White House come November he needs to sit up and take heed of what some people have been saying. There is an important group of voters that he needs to befriend and assure that he will not throw them under the bus. Social Conservatives. He has all but ignored us, especially here in Iowa where he skipped the Iowa Caucuses. This has not endeared him to social conservatives across the country; instead it has alienated many of us. He has continually ignored us and thumbed his nose at our beliefs. This is not the way to win the White House this November. The only reason that he has ratings anywhere close to the two Democrats is because they seem to be intent on destroying not only each other but their party as well.
Without the millions of social conservatives across this country Senator McCain does not stand a chance come November. He is known as being soft on illegal immigrants; he sure doesn’t seem to have any moral values. These two issues do not make him the ideal candidate for President from our point of view. Because of this it would make sense for McCain to choose a socially conservative running mate. And yet he has still not chosen one at this time. Many social conservatives are worried that he would choose Rudy or Romney for a running mate. It would be a mistake of catastrophic proportions for him to do this as it would ensure that his campaign would fall in flames.
Social conservatives are the ones that go out to campaign for candidates, how else could former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee defeat Mitt Romney in Iowa, even though Huckabee was outspent by an enormous amount. Think about what McCain could do with that kind of grassroots support, he could handily defeat the Democrats. However this will not happen if he chooses a running mate that is anything other than socially conservative. The thing that McCain needs to realize is that we are not stupid, we know how to effectively use the internet to research his running mate’s political background. This means that he can claim anything that he wants, but we will be able to locate the truth.
The ‘Come To Jesus’ Response
While you are not alone, by any means, with your rightful anger towards and serious concern about McCain, his liberal policies and his choice of running mate, lets really explore how Juan rose to the level of our nominee by default in a Come To Jesus chat of our very own, right here, right now;
Pray tell us, the other two legs of the conservative party stool, exactly why you broke away, as a group, by not only demanding your intentionally limited priorities came first, foremost and exclusively but also, with the added nerve to actually dictate how they must be accomplished through Constitutional Amendments?
You correctly point to the strength you have in numbers so you should also realize that by The Huckster’s clear and resounding defeat that you can not elect a candidate who was only capable of pandering to your exclusive issues. In other words, you intentionally left your friends behind in completely ignoring the fact that there are MANY issues critical to conservative principles and values wherein he possesses absolutely none of them.
You offer you are “not stupid” and “know how to research on the net” then, why didn’t you all know that seeking Constitutional Amendments are;
1) WRONG to attempt according to the instructions of our founding fathers who specifically offered ‘Federalism’ as the means for us to limit bad science and bad law which is inevitable to crop up on occasion in a democracy straying from a republic through judicial activism and/or over-reaching legislators.
Treat the cause, never the symptom. Appoint only strict constructionist judges who will interpret the law but, will never make new law according to our Separation of Powers which protects democracy and forestalls tyranny. Stick to the remedies provided by the men who designed the government or there will be ‘unforeseen’ and tragically unwanted ramifications.
2) IMPOSSIBLE to obtain the supermajority vote required evidenced by our previously wrongheaded attempt to pass a pro-life amendment at the time we had the largest majority in Congress we’ve ever enjoyed. The NRLC saw this was the truth and gave their full support to the candidate who showed them that accomplishing goals in the federal government is an incremental endeavor, inthat they must be gained a little at a time with the right plan or it will blow up in our faces wherein if we’re very lucky will only set us back and not into total chaos.
Therefore, banging our heads against the wall in futility with religious as well as other GOP “leaders”, such as James Dobson and Paul Weyrich, publicly dictating we will reverse or prevent society’s moral decay by demanding candidates platform be based upon quick-fix pipedreams is not remotely close to intelligent nor is it demonstrating we are capable of our own governance.
Further, for social conservatives to support the Huckster who once took his stance with Federalism only to flip that correct position to pander to the uninformed merely for their votes is unconscionably immoral at face value. In so doing and seeing the same type of depravity ( and much worse ) in his past and records, he has vividly demonstrated that he is not worthy of occupying the office of the presidency…nor any other public office.
This all leads us to how we wound up with McCain as our nominee. The following articles continue the explanation of our current situation so, let us now see if you really can be smart and also put the effort out to actually be informed in realizing social conservatives have only to look at themselves for the great amount of the ‘credit’;

Willard And The Huckster To Emulate Fred Thompson
April 10, 2008
In their continuing effort to endear ( more aptly “force” ) themselves upon conservatives in future elections, both Willard Romney and The Huckster are attempting to emulate the life accomplishments ( that are available to them ) of the only indisputable conservative they’ve instinctively followed and yet unsuccessfully mimicked in the past, Fred Thompson. Although they’re deflecting, as best they can, Fred’s selfless and sole intent in running by “heeding the call” when many stood up and asked him to, the two clones motivation on the other hand is entirely self-serving. Additionally, without the strong principles, foundational values, real experience and extensive qualifications which Fred has, what incredible nerve the two wannabes have by putting our country at real risk in their possible presidency’s in how much they can really foul us up…the mortgage crisis, amnesty bill and the war would seem like walks in the park if either one of them slipped in. Further, by offering someone elses plans as their own which can not be implemented or especially their own which would be real flops ( i.e., “Fair” tax, socialist healthcare. ) …but, no sense in letting the cat out of the bag before an election, right? The second most important note to make is the path they’ve taken from the time they entered the race by echoing whatever policy appears to hold the most votes and/or whatever location they happen to be in at the time ( Ask Michigan about Willard on that one. ) Again, by avoiding to take the right position for no other reason than it is simply the right thing to do they will never be conservatives nor should we allow them to refer to themselves as such without a very loud challenge…this definition is certainly not limited to these two clowns as several GOP “leaders” and religious ‘legends in their own minds’ also qualify for this dubious distinction by being ignorant of the overall circumstances in how to accomplish their priority challenged goals within the dysfunctional world that is our federal government…Where ‘My way or the highway’ isn’t by any stretch of the imagination a conservative principle in being exclusively a part of the despotic sniveling brats philosophy of liberalism.
Fred Thompson does best in Iowa debate
December 12, 2007
David Yepsen, Political Columnist for the Des Moines Register, points out that Fred Thompson did himself the most good in Wednesday’s debate. This was clearly the case, while Romney and Huckabee didn’t do anything to really screw up, they didn’t exactly do anything other than talk in circles like they normally do.
Thompson, a former Tennessee senator, was specific, good-humored and exuded an executive persona during the 90 minute session that was sponsored by the Des Moines Register and broadcast by Iowa Public Television.
Fred was himself as usual, he didn’t perform like a trained animal contrary to the other candidates, Iowans got to see the real Fred Thompson today and it should start to show up in the polls. Being the only conservative on the stage Fred made it clear that he wasn’t into playing along with the usual liberal moderators.
The event would have been more nourishing had the candidates and the format allowed for more back and forth.
The debate format was a complete joke, the moderator focused on the usual liberal subjects like global warming and all the candidates except Fred Thompson bent over and pandered to it.
Endorsing Liberalism
December 11, 2007
The National Review has endorsed Mitt Romney, top liberal on the republican ticket. This boggles the imagination, how can one of the mainstays of conservatism support a man for President who, by his positions and actions in the past, is only slightly right of Hillary Clinton? I am not certain what is in the water over there at National Review but reading this garbage makes me want to support a clean water act or something.
Many conservatives are finding it difficult to pick a presidential candidate. Each of the men running for the Republican nomination has strengths, and none has everything — all the traits, all the positions — we are looking for. Equally conservative analysts can reach, and have reached, different judgments in this matter. There are fine conservatives supporting each of these Republicans.
Actually conservatives have few options this year when it comes to Presidential Candidates. We have but one conservative, Fred Thompson, and a litany of liberal Republicans trying to redefine what conservatism is. Now we have normally consistent conservative voices like National Review helping them.
Our guiding principle has always been to select the most conservative viable candidate. In our judgment, that candidate is Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts. Unlike some other candidates in the race, Romney is a full-spectrum conservative: a supporter of free-market economics and limited government, moral causes such as the right to life and the preservation of marriage, and a foreign policy based on the national interest..
I would like the people over at National Review to enlighten us as to what criteria they used to determine that Mr. Romney is either Conservative or Viable? He was Governor of the most Liberal state in the country, the size of government increased while he was governor, he raised taxes while governor, he did nothing except ignore illegal immigration while governor, and lastly he signed into law a healthcare mandate that is so close to Hillary’s one has to question whether or not he’s guilty of plagiarism. This is not a full spectrum conservative!
Fred Thompson is as conservative as Romney, and has distinguished himself with serious proposals on Social Security, immigration, and defense. But Thompson has never run any large enterprise — and he has not run his campaign well, either. Conservatives were excited this spring to hear that he might enter the race, but have been disappointed by the reality. He has been fading in crucial early states. He has not yet passed the threshold test of establishing for voters that he truly wants to be president.
You have to wait until nearly the end of the article to get to Fred and then they insult him by calling him “as conservative as Romney”. This is an absolute joke, who’s writing the drivel over there, moveon.org? Nice of them to acknowledge that Fred is the only candidate that has put forth serious proposals on Social Security, immigration, and defense. Seeing as none of the others, including Romney, have bothered to. Fred has been clear from the beginning that he is not going to run the same campaign as everyone else.
He has not run a worse campaign, in fact he has run a better one. He’s running around to every media outlet saying look at me, look at me. He’s running around talking to people, the voters. The news media seems to think that they will choose the candidates and elect the next President. If that was the case then the people of this country would not have drafted Fred Thompson to run in the first place.
If there are a few of you that would like to read this garbage for yourself then here is the link
