Racists at CNN try to pick new AG

CNN proving again that they are nothing but racist libs basically demanded that President Bush pick former Deputy AG Larry Thompson as Gonzales’ replacement over at the Justice Department. Now I freely admit I know nothing about Larry Thompson, don’t know what he stands for, what he has done and the commentary by Roland Martin at CNN gives us none of those important details. What does Mr. Martin give us you might ask?

“Thompson was also widely respected when he was the top U.S. attorney for the northern District of Georgia. Democrats and Republicans both like him, and that’s a good thing today.

Another plus? He’s African-American.”

Then Mr. Martin goes on to make the token statement that makes liberals feel objective.

“Sure, people should be appointed based on qualifications, but he has that. His race is an added element.”

Now personally, I don’t know Larry Thompson, he’s undoubtedly a good man and Bush may nominate him and if he’s qualified then great. I don’t care what color he is, I don’t care what race he is, and my only question is if he is qualified for the job. Being a certain color or race doesn’t have any bearing on if he is qualified to be Attorney General. Only to liberals and CNN is your color or race a qualification or disqualification as the case may be.

Ron Paul Supporters Attack Fred Thompson

Today in Houston a woman was removed from a hanger at Hobby Airport in Houston where she went to ask Fred Thompson about his assumed membership in Council on Foreign Relations. When Thomson attempted to answer this dingbat he was interrupted by this woman. She is presumably a Ron Paul supporter sent to heckle the soon to be Republican Presidential Candidate and current frontrunner.

Funny how this makes front page news yet the mobs of protesters that come to see other candidates, especially democratic ones, never makes the news.

Mysterious Billing Records Found. Forged?

So the LA LA Times will run a follow up story in the coming days that claims to have located these mysterious billing records from the early 90’s that show Fred Thompson billed for 20 hours of service lobbying, advising or whatever. Hasn’t the Times learned anything from CBS? We know that these guys are completely capable of fabricating evidence; we saw them do with Bush. Is Dan Rather a consultant for the LA LA Times now?

Let’s be real for a moment, I know reality is something you libs can’t deal with but try. These accusations are put forth by a couple of ultra libs who are big donors to Hillary and we’re supposed to take them as credible sources on this. I am sorry but that’s about as realistic as Ted Kennedy becoming conservative. So yes I will be the first and for a while I will be alone but I will go out on a limb and declare these documents as forgeries based solely on who is advancing them and the track record of the Times for getting the story wrong. Basically until Fred comes out and says that the documents are real then they are not!

Loony Left and Scooter Libby

Is it just me or does anyone else find it hypocritical of the Clinton’s to criticize Bush for commuting Scooter Libby’s sentence with respect to the prison term. Funny how the most corrupt administration in history can criticize probably one of the most ethical administrations in history. For you loony libs out there, the only crime committed in Valerie Plame case was the lies that Joe Wilson told to try and keep us out of Iraq, unless of course you count the lies that Valerie Plame told before congress last year.

It has been proven that Valerie Plame was not a covert operative, her name wasn’t leaked by some trusted advisor to Cheney or Bush, it was leaked by a career government worker at the State Department. For those of you that may not get it, there was no crime committed. Patrick Fitzgerald knew when his investigation started that Richard Armitage was the person who leaked Valerie Plame’s name to the media. Does Patrick Fitzgerald indict Richard Armitage, no because he also knew that Valerie Plame was not a covert operative. So he goes on a witch-hunt trying to find anyone in the administration that who might not remember something.

THE CLEMENCY SHAM!!!

I guess the President hasn’t slapped his supporters around enough lately. His supporting of the disastrous immigration bill was insulting those of us that can actually read the constitution. Now he makes the feeblest attempts to get back in the good graces of his base and he even screws that up.

I will reiterate that the prosecution of Scooter Libby was the greatest miscarriage of justice we have seen in politics in at least 20 years. Can anyone point to a time when a political appointee has been prosecuted for lying about a crime that didn’t happen? How he learned about Valerie Plame is irrelevant, Plame lied before congress, a much more serious crime than what Libby supposedly did. So to placate the base President Bush grants clemency for the part of his sentence that required him to go to prison? The President has failed miserably here, the correct, honest, and decent thing to do would have been to grant him a full pardon at the conclusion of the trial, if we could call that a trial.

The President has put himself in a position here where he can’t win. The base will not be satisfied with this and the libs will think that Libby gets off easy. As if having a felony conviction and being forced to pay a $250,000.00 fine is getting off easy!
