Conservatives Rejoice over Palin

Governor Sarah Palin did in two or three hours what McCain, Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani and others couldn’t do with over a year to prepare.  Excite the conservative base!

First off we have to give McCain (and his staff) credit.  This caught everyone by surprise, McCain going to the often forgotten state of Alaska and tapping a governor that has been a maverick but not for the same reasons that McCain is considered a maverick.  McCain is thought of as a maverick because throughout his legislative career he gives the one finger salute to the conservative base that has made the difference in every presidential election since 1980.  Governor Palin is known as a maverick because she has stuck to conservative principles, she fought against corruption, the good ole’ boy network, etc.

Governor Palin has her conservative credentials in tact being a life member of the NRA, solidly pro life, has a record of cutting government waste, and understands the need to keep government as small as possible and return as much of the people’s money back to them as possible.

The true audacity of hope is Obama highlighting Governor Palin’s lack of foreign policy experience.  The same experience that Obama doesn’t have, he did pick Biden after all though.  Biden has foreign policy experience, he has the experience of being wrong on every foreign policy issue for the last 25 years but hey he has experience.  McCain has much better credentials on foreign policy, but the reality here is not that Governor Palin doesn’t have foreign policy experience.  Governor Palin has the real experience of being an executive in charge.  She knows how to assemble a team that can get things done.  This experience is more valuable than 144 days in the Senate spent running for President, more valuable than 25+ years in the senate pushing the liberal agenda.

Governor Palin has more private sector experience than Obama and Biden combined, she has more working government experience than Obama, she has more executive experience than Obama, Biden, and McCain combined.

The true question here is not Sarah Palin’s experience, she has that.  The big question here is where has she been and why isn’t she at the top of this ticket!

Priceless, Brandon. That will be quoted.

Got something to say?
