Stupidity on parade!

I warn you now the next words you are about to read are a rant.  The subject matter may (I hope) be offensive to some adults and children should NOT be reading over your shoulder.

Now for those of you with piercings that would normally be covered by an undergarment of some type, please schedule yourself for a CAT scan at the earliest opportunity because if you are like the woman in this story then I suspect your brains may have leaked out of this pierced hole at some point and you are in desperate need of professional help.

If you have said piercing and you were going to take an airplane somewhere would it have not occurred to you that you are going to go through a metal detector or some other type of screening device?  What planet have you been living on for the last seven years.

To make matters worse this future Al Gore wannabe opens her mouth and says probably the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time (Hillary under sniper fire excluded.):

"I wouldn’t wish this experience upon anyone," Mandi Hamlin said at a news conference. "My experience with TSA was a nightmare I had to endure. No one deserves to be treated this way."

"I wouldn’t wish this experience upon anyone"?  Is she really serious?  Hey go get all the piercings you want, that’s a wonderful experience just don’t go through airport security.  The insanity continues with Ms. Hamlin’s attorney Gloria Allred.

Hamlin was publicly humiliated and has "undergone an enormous amount of physical pain to have the nipple rings reinserted" because of scar tissue

Why have them reinserted, aren’t you going to have to fly home?  Hamlin was publicly humiliated because she is an idiot, that’s not the fault of the TSA.

Can Hillary be saved from herself?

It seems that Hillary suffers from the same foot in mouth disease that most other liberal democrats suffer from.  Why not just let well enough alone, is it that hard for her to sit back and make the same normal boring speeches that she’s been making for the last six months?

Conservatives lead by Rush Limbaugh are doing their best to save Hillary from defeat but can they save her from herself?  This notion that she was under sniper fire in Bosnia was bull, we all knew it was bull, she knew it was bull, Obama knew it was bull, the press knew it was Bill uh I mean bull how did she expect to get away with it?  This isn’t 1993 where she can run around taking over the world and the press will stand by cheering "you go girl".  No they are firmly in Obama’s camp now, supporting him makes them believe that they are good people and that they are forgiven for their years of liberal racism.

No they can’t leave well enough alone so while Obama is laying on the beach in the Virgin Islands Hillary is running around trying to sound liberal enough to get the nomination without be perceived for the socialist kook she is.  She obviously doesn’t have the same gift that Obama does, the ability to ramble on for an hour and make people feel good but never saying much of anything.  No Hillary rambles on and usually says something that amounts to a lie and now she gets called on it.

If she keeps this up I don’t think even Rush will be able to save the Clinton campaign.

What Is A True Conservative To Do?

    In today’s world, where the Press has delivered us the worst possible Republican nominee, what is a true conservative to do on election day?

     The answer, of course, is to do everything you can to minimize the damage.  Sitting home and sighing that “we’re screwed” will just ensure that we are.

     I know it will pain many of us greatly to go and vote for John McCain, but, the alternative (a Democratic president) is unthinkable.

     With McCain we won’t have the best conservative but it will be better that Hillary or Barack.  But, most importantly, getting up off our couch and going to the polls will allow us to vote for Republican candidates for the House and the Senate and even state and local Republicans.  By going to the polls we can help to determine how easy it is for any president to get his way with Congress.  By supporting Republican candidates we have a real chance of narrowing or even eliminating the Democratic lead in both houses of Congress which will go a long way towards allowing us to keep the pressure on to ensure they follow the will of the people.

     The key is to stay involved, at all levels.  Whether it is by making phone calls, donating to the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee or the National Republican Senatorial Committee, it is the only way we can move our values, our beliefs, our issues forward.

     So, Be strong and stand up for what we believe in and GO VOTE!

Still Blaming Bush…

It was learned recently that three contract employees at the State Department were fired recently for accessing Obama’s passport information without authorization.  This seems to happen fifteen years or so, last time it was Bill Clinton’s records that were accessed in 1992.  The issue I have is the way the campaign reacted as though Bush was accessing the records for dirt he could use…

Obama spokesman Bill Burton issued a stern statement Thursday night, saying: “This is an outrageous breach of security and privacy, even from an Administration that has shown little regard for either over the last eight years. Our government’s duty is to protect the private information of the American people, not use it for political purposes."

Bill Burton is an absolute joke.  Who is he kidding anyway, yes Bush is President, and yes one of his people, Condoleezza Rice, is Secretary of State, but it stops there.  Everyone knows full well that there are no other republicans and certainly no conservatives at the State Department.

No from my perspective this has all the earmarks of Clinton Inc.  The State Department is still full of Clinton cronies who have been undermining Bush for seven years and Obama is a bigger threat to them right now than Bush.

I sure once we find out who these people actually are we’ll know that they were donors to Bill and Hillary back in the nineties and are donors to Hillary and Bill now.  What am I thinking, the MSM won’t publish that info, and we can’t have democrats who don’t get along.  That’s just not acceptable!

Will the Supreme Court Clarify Concealed Carry?

Judging by most reports of today’s proceedings the Supreme Court is very likely to agree with the majority of Americans that the Constitution does guarantee an individual right to gun ownership.  The next question is how far will the court go in interpreting the 2nd Amendment?

In the past other courts have tried to take very narrow views of issues and not try to change precedent.  There is no precedent to change here and there are many issues around the 2nd Amendment that need clarity.  I doubt this court will clarify all of them but hopefully they make it clear how they view the 2nd Amendment so as to open the door to address many of these other peripheral issues. 

Nearly seventy years have gone by with gun owners being under assault from liberals in control of the courts and congress.  Even when Republicans ran congress they did so only with the permission of liberals it seemed.  We can only hope that the Supreme Court takes the occasion to reverse the tyranny that gun owners have been subjected to for the last sixty plus years.

 

The Supreme Court and the 2nd Amendment

I don’t think anyone really knows for sure what will happen when the Supreme Court makes its decision in the Heller case.  For me the question isn’t so much about whether or not the court will affirm individual right to gun ownership, no for me the question is how far will the court go in defining the limits for congress and the states in terms of legislating 2nd amendment restrictions.  I think there is an outside chance of Justice Souter would join conservatives on the court and affirm the right to individual gun ownership if the opinion was very narrow in defining those rights and leaves the door open to existing legislation that allows for individual gun ownership but with limits.

However, if Thomas and Scalia are able to influence Chief Justice Roberts, Alito, and Kennedy to take this opportunity to more thoroughly interpret the 2nd amendment then we may see a 5-4 decision that more drastically limits governments ability to restrict gun ownership.  There are not many places in the constitution where other courts have not already had a significant impact, some good, some not so.  It has been nearly 70 years since the court has had an opportunity to interpret the 2nd amendment, then they abdicated their responsibility we can hope that this court doesn’t do the same.
