Will the media cut and run on the Clinton’s?
February 26, 2008
Of the media attention Hillary has been getting lately none of it seems to be positive. They leaked a picture of Obama dressed in traditional Somali robes and in the past they could rely on the media to keep that quiet or pin the blame on a Republican. Not anymore they leaped out there with the picture and then painted it as an act of desperation for Hillary, which it is but the MSM isn’t known for accuracy when it comes to the Clinton’s.
Some of the media are now openly talking about how the Clinton War Machine twists arms and beats people in the media. Tucker Carlson on MSNBC via NewsBusters.
They’re awful to the media: let’s be totally blunt. They’re awful to the press. They treat the press like enemies.
Howard Wolfson’s always calling around threatening people. Threatening people! News organizations! They do that! People hate you if you do that. I mean, they’ve earned the enmity of the press, in my view. They have. I mean, it’s been hard but they’ve done it.
The Clinton’s have "earned the enmity of the press"? That is a bold statement, it means that they were openly friendly to the Clinton’s before, which we all knew. It also means that they are firmly in Obama’s camp now because he brings with him true liberalism, none of this new democrat garbage, none of this Clinton baggage. They now have a new messiah and the MSM is running from the Clinton’s as fast as they can. It will be interesting to see if Hillary can pick up more delegates in the upcoming weeks and make this tight going into the convention she will definitely go after the Tucker Carlson types that have hurt her in this election.
Primary votes for Hillary?
February 25, 2008
Perhaps those of us who haven’t had the pleasure of voting in a primary yet should consider voting for Hillary. McCain is the GOP nominee, nothing we can do to change that. Liberals and Moderates voting in early states have insured that the GOP has the weakest possible candidate. So for those of us that are left that haven’t had a chance to vote should do everything possible to disrupt the Democratic convention. Rush spoke of this in depth today and had a quote that I couldn’t resist.
When your enemy is eating himself alive get out of the way and pass the salt.
Is it throwing away a vote, perhaps, but it would be more productive than giving the vote to McCain or Huckabee, and if it helps keep the delegate count more even in the Democrat party then infighting in the Democrat Party will be worth it.
The dirty little secret about oil
February 22, 2008
It has taken $100 per barrel oil but now the government can no longer hold back the new technologies that will someday replace oil. Yes for at least 50 years the government has had a vested interest in keeping oil prices low. It all comes down to the almighty buck, but not the bucks that Exxon or Shell are raking in, no it comes down to taxes.
So long as oil was priced low there is no interest in trying to figure out a less expensive, or cleaner, way to power our nation and the world for that matter. Why would car companies work on developing vehicles that operate on different sources of power when a gallon of gas was $1.00? That development costs money and consumers in the early nineties wouldn’t have paid for it. So in the nineties liberals, mostly democrats but a few republicans along the way, began to monkey around with air quality standards. The thinking was to make it so expensive for car makers to meet these standards that they would begin pouring money into cleaner technologies. This didn’t happen on the scale that environmental movement wanted. The standards did have an impact, we got vehicles that got fewer miles per gallon with less power, but less polluting. The benefit of that was that people unwittingly fell for this hook line and sinker. Gas was still relatively cheap so it wasn’t as big a deal to consumers that they were buying more gas.
Big deal right, well I believe it is. You now have cleaner cars and that’s makes people feel better. Great, but if we have to look at the fact that those cars get less mileage than their counterparts from a decade prior. This results in the need to pump more oil, so our vehicles actually use more fuel but they burn it cleaner however we have to buy more gas. Now at the same time liberals make it impossible to drill for oil in many regions of our country that have oil thus forcing us to continue to deal with third world thugs like Hugo Chavez, and that Nazi loving pinhead in Iran.
Now on to the almighty buck. The liberals in this country love to rail against “Big Oil” and how mean they are for gouging us for fuel. What you may not know is that oil profits are less than $0.10 per gallon. Yet these oil companies invest all the money to find oil, extract it from the ground, refine it, formulate it with other things that the liberals tell them they have use to make it burn cleaner, ship it to gas stations where you get to go and pump it into your cars. They do all that to make a lousy $0.10 per gallon and still have to listen to uneducated idiots complain about the price of gas and how they are to blame for it. Yet between $0.45 and $0.70 per gallon, depending on where you live, is federal and state gas taxes. Government does nothing to find sources of oil, does nothing to get it out of the ground, does nothing to get it to market. They assume no risk in the venture but there they are with their hand out for their cut. So yes with demand for oil up due to government regulation government also gets to profit on the back end as well. When the price of gas goes out of sight then who’s there bad mouthing the profits of oil companies and complaining about how much money they’re making? Those same liberals and they tell us they want to take more oil profits but do they ever tell us how much the government profits from the oil business, no.
So with the price of oil up a lot of investment has gone into clean technologies, electric vehicles, bio-diesel, hydrogen fuel cells, etc. This is fine, I have no problem with these technologies in fact the biggest impediment now to getting these technologies to market is that government hasn’t yet figured out how to tax these things. But never fear, they will, and whatever source of fuel we use in the future doesn’t matter. Liberals will create the same circumstances with the next fuel, be it hydrogen or ethanol, makes no difference because to liberals it is all about raising taxes and gaining power.

WHY DIDN’T WE KNOW?
YOUR NEWS MEDIA REFUSES TO TELL US!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.
Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves three two major purposes of the liberal news media:
1. It is intended to undermine the world’s perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support, and:
2. It is intended to discourage American citizens and erode their support for the war.
3. It is intended to help the Democratic Party gain more power in the next elections.

Huckabee now the martyr?
February 18, 2008
Mike Huckabee is telling crowds that he’s killing his political career. I have to laugh at this, hell all you can do as laugh at this. No one has taken the Huckster seriously since Iowa even then it was clear that very few took him seriously, but now I guess we are to feel sorry for him. Did he have much of a political career left anyway? I know he is angling for the VP slot but McCain would have to completely surpass his previous lapses in judgment to pick a tax and spend liberal governor. Huckabee brings nothing to McCain except a drop in IQ that McCain can ill afford.
For those that wish to read about the poor Huckster compare himself to Reagan, not recommended if you have eaten in the last hour, here is the link
Self Defense with Firearms
February 18, 2008
When carrying concealed or even owning a firearm it is each of our own moral imperative as loyal citizens that we be trained in all aspects of criminal and civil law that covers self defense and self defense with a firearm from the state you now live in. It is also very helpful to go through Shoot, Don’t Shoot scenarios so you fully understand in applying what you’ve learned.
Once you have completed this training your rightful anxiety of carrying or even owning a firearm will disappear as you will know what you can and can’t do but, of course, it is a responsibility. Therefore, this short and easy training should rightly be undertaken by every citizen of maturity in the country. Once completed you will find confidence and a feeling of control in your everyday lives in dealing with any dangerous situation which might occur in your presence whether you are armed or not. ( However, having the tool to save your life and not need it is highly preferable than not having it for the one time you do need it to survive an attack. )
Even if your state doesn’t require it, I strongly urge everyone and your young adults to take this instruction ( whether you choose to carry or not ) from NRA certified instructors or attorney’s who often teach these classes at your local universities and community colleges usually for law enforcement curriculums.
Through this education alone you will change your life and very possibly the lives of others for the better and you will have followed the instructions our Founding Father’s specifically gave us.
I almost didn’t add the following but, it is important enough that I must;
If you have chosen the appropriate firearm for you to carry or own you must practice with it as with any tool until it becomes an extension of your arm…I know women and young adults who shoot three to five times a week and shoot anywhere from 100 to 200 rounds per week up to 1,000 rounds per day. ( 1,000 p/day is, of course, for competitive shooters and once you’ve become used to recoil the ammunition seems to disappear on its own anyway. )
However, the most productive, beneficial for muscle memory and cost effective way to practice with it is dry-firing for 5 minutes per day. Firearms are made differently and some may be continuously dry-fired without doing anything but, some require snap-caps or simply dummy rounds but here is where you must learn complete safety with your firearm…Check your chamber or cylinder each time you pick it up even if you set it down only for a moment. It is your absolute responsibility to know the condition of your firearm at all times. In this way you will never have an “accident” when handling your firearm for any reason…It is only when people assume whether the tool is loaded or not do we then see and hear of “accidents”.
Be safe and be prepared as your life certainly does depend on it everyday if you realize it or not…don’t be caught by surprise as every graveyard is full of “surprised” victims.
